i have a lot of movies (divx, xvid and wmv) burnt on various dvds. earlier all of the dvds used to read on XBMC, but now only a 3-4 dvds work. can this problem be fixed by finalising the dvds that iv burnt or is it someother kind of problem please help.

Whats the problem that comes up? We need more info. Does it just not read? Anyway, I'd recommend putting the DVD onto the HDD, it's always there then and alot easier to get. Otherwise, maybe try finalizing, it may work, or try putting it in, doesn't read, take it out and put it back in.

yes the discs arent reading. and i have still have the retails harddisk in th xbox. if anyone can think of any other reason why the discs arent readin please let me know.

i was going through the forums and found that one member said to clear the cache, i did that and now a lot more dvds are reading but there still a few that arent. i have cleaned the lens, got AID4 with the latest xbmc, still there are a few problems
