I have a softmodded XBox running XBMC. I know I can adjust the fan speed of the XBox when running XBMC, however, when I start a game or other application the fan apparently reverts back to a speed set in the BIOS ... or at least that what I've read. So I was wondering ... which BIOS is this ... on a modchip (which I don't have) or the actual XBox BIOS. If it's the actual XBox BIOS, how do I access it in order to change the fan speed value in the BIOS?

what softmod are you using?

I believe it's version 1.6 ... but I haven't confirmed for sure. I originally got my XBox already modded (bought used), but I wiped the HD and installed SID 3.1.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe if you cut the ground to the fan and hook it to one of the screw holes on the motherboard it will run at full speed all the time.

if it's a v1.6 download and install the Evox M8 metoo bios and launcher. Mod the bios file as normal and when the launcher runs that bios it will use whatever settings you have configured (including fan speed)

I see there's a "Pheonix BIOS Loader MeToo 1.4.1" in the latest Auto Installer Deluxe ... is this the same thing as what you are referring to?
