it appears that each time I try to flash the bios with the xecuter 3 bios it is hanging. It will get halfway through the flashing process then hang. I was thinking it may be because of the mem banks which shows only the first two active. The original xbox os is fine so I don't think its a wiring or soldering issue. It shows on the webserver that only banks 1 and 2 are on, but I have them all enabled on the dipswitches. Is there something I'm doing wrong???

What do you mean you have all of enabled? to flash it with the X3 bios the first time the switch needs to be on on off off off. Then to flash the second bank with the X3 bios it should be off on off off off.

I've actually tried to do that, but no matter how I have the dip switches, it still freezes up halfway through the flashing process. I've let it sit for hours and it just hangs. I've tried different BIN files to make sure I didn't have a corrupted one, but it still wont work.

He asks because my X3 wasn't letting me Flash it, was doing the same exact thing.

I'm using XP, but I am trying in firefox. I will attempt IE. Do I need to convert the size of the bios to 512k or keep it at 1 MB??

The strange thing is I have to use the backup flashbios, but now it's acting as if all the bios images are unknown or its protected???

make sure u have the switches right, and taht the light on the chip is not green, it should be RED.

then try it again.
Ya now just take a look at your x3 chip and you will see a little switch on there. first turn the xbox on and look at the chip if it is showing green then that is why its freezing you need to hit the little switch to the other side and that will make it unprotected and will enable you to flash the x3 then. _________________ The one the only Scarface!!

Iv flashed 3294 to banks 1 & 2 but now Im stuck at the ROX screen regardless of which bank I use.
It has booted from Evox on C:\ once - but wont do it again, Iv tried the triggers and buttons - nothing.
Pressing/holding/kicking the white button doesn't work either - Iv tried 4 different MS controllers!
Is there a way I can force config & fix the dash link & activate the LCD ?

I had the same problem as the previous guy, it would only flash halfway and stop. The only way was to boot from backup, then change the switches to those stated above and try again!
I found the answer to my problem on a forum at Xecuter - the eeprom dies when the password is activated. The eeprom has to be erased in order to get config live back. Now only to find a way to get it to boot from C:\evoxdash........
