Hi, My name is Josh and i am completly new at this. I have an Xbox with the Xbox media center and i belive an Xecuter3 chip(there is a screen on the front of the Xbox that when it boots up says TeamXecuter.com on it.) I bought it used with all these add ons and the person who i got it from had a bunch of Music albums and Playlists. Well now i want to add my own content to it,such as music and music playlists. I know how to use the "DVD2XBOX" feature but i cant figure out music. I can rip the music off a CD and put it on but then everything just comes up as "Track1,Track2" and so on..
So what i want to learn is how to connect it to my PC to add my music. There are usb ports on te front of my xbox, but they never seem to do anything....
ANy help would be greatly appretiated!!
Thanks,
Josh

welcome to the bad ass world of mods man it wold take months to answer your ?'S so first off after you rip the tune to your drive find it in your file manager and rename it...
as for the rest look in the tut pages here is thare just got to find it all...
Thank you for your reply and your help.
Maybe i can simplify my question a little bit, My biggest worry right now is being able to import music from my computer to the xbox via a usb cable maybe? will that work and if so how?
I woud rather do it that way then rip a cd to it and have to go through and rename 20 songs.
Again any help will be greatly appretiated....
Josh

Sup guy , lets give this one more time if your trying to use mp3s or pics or folders from your pc with the xbox with out puting them on the hard drive you need to link the pc and xbox with a crossover cable or if your going to link with a router cat5 works fine, then just set up your smb share on your xbox and net work settings on you pc...
Then just type in your xbox IP addres along with Port:21, Username:xbox, Password:xbox. Make you a folder id say in E or F(use F if possible) called Music if its not already there.
Then just copy from the Left(your PC files) to F/Music on the right(your XBOX files), once complete restart the xbox and check your music folder and u should see what ever music/directories are in there. _________________ Hotswap Tutorial|FTP Tutorial|HyperX Flashing Tutorial

Coiuple hey things like that was poste befroe.. THE CABLE and if you on a ROUTER. Those two questions let you know which kind of cable to get there is 2 Crossover ( use from pc directly to xbox) and a Straight cat5 ( xbox to router where Pc connects to router too).
So make sure you usin right kind of cable , firewall on pc is allowing it, and that FTP is turned on xbox ( usually if you in dash its allowing)
If you look through settings it will tell u IP
xbox port is 21

Also, before you connect, it will be worth pinging, just to make sure you have communication between the 2 as well.
You'll need to have the RJ45 cable plugged in both PC and Xbox and you'll need to know the IP address of the Xbox.
After that, click Start - Run, type cmd, press enter. On the command prompt, type: ping 192.168.xxx.xxx or whatever your IP of the Xbox is. If you get request timed out, either there's a prob with the cable or the IP address. If you get a response, you're in business. Simply then use FlashFXP or CuteFTP (whatever you have) and connect to the Xbox.
