Is anyone here a part of the Coast Guard? just wanted to know, Yesterday i was accpeted into the coast guard, so my desicion this week and weekend is to pick a job, I have about 4 or 5 choices, my math wasn't to good on the test. I worked for a long time as a beach lifeguard and had to do my training with the coastguard here.

What are you looking at becoming?

I called my recruiter today, I'm going in for Gunnersmate, its everything to do with the weapons on the cutters, small boats and on land.. i put in a request for the May 8th boot camp date, and Aug 6th class date but i will know by early next wk. if its available, there are 3 dates and theres 5 spots open in each class date..

Best of luck mate, I know they push you hard during the training and demand the best, but its only to be expected. It takes a lot of guts and courage to do what they do, so you have my upmost respect.

Thank You very much, its been my dream for a while now, and im still kinda in shock that i got in, everybody i talked to said it took a while to get in, it took me about 4 or 5months of calling and messages, to get a call back. but if anyone has some advice its greatly appreciated, Thanks Stud_Man

Cool dont really know too much about the coast guard but my hat goes off to you man...its an accomplishment to even get accepted like that...i also have upmost respect for you and everyone else in the armed forces

Just Got a letter from my recruiter, i had to sign a release form for my background check... hope i pass Wink but i definitely ship out to basic in May8th and then my A school is in Aug 6th, A school is like my specialty school. but im totally syked(sp) about going... my next thing i want to do for a mod, is my dads laptop just went out, is there anyway to save his 17'' sony screen and mount it to the side of my computer case xbox??

Im almost positive you cant connect a Laptop screen to an xbox.

Look for a pinout of a xbox mobo then figure out where each wire goes. remeber if it dont work the first time try and try again. also if it dont work by the third time find the biggest hammer you can and smash it Laughing

i know but its built into the laptop??? i can crack it open and get the wiring but theres no connector... see what im sayin.. then my xbox would be built for anytime anyplace!

what kind of stuff can you buy?? i still want my xbox inside the computer tower, but the laptop has a 17'' screen and that would be awesome on the side of the tower...
