I have acquired an X box with an xecutor mod chip . I flashed using network flashing. I have used 512k.evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.iso which boots but will not play any games. I have got FlashFXP but can not maintain a connection to access the hard drive on the x box. I think i have a Version 1.6 X box but I am not sure it has 2 banks and says it 1024Mb chip on it.
Can anybody tell me
A) what bios i need
B) why cant I browse the Xbox using FTP
c) How do i then get a dashboard on the Xbox

Hi Tony,
Ok.. If your modchip is installed and flashed all you need now is the AUto Installer Deluxe (http://aid.xbox-hq.com).. With AID you can burn it to a DVD-R and boot it in your xbox.
You can then choose to install hacked dashboards, apps, emulators and all the rest..
With a hacked dashboard installed you will then be able to FTP into your xbox hdd and copy and replace files etc.
hope that explains things for you a little more.
There are two M6 bioses:
1 x bios for xboxes v1.0-v1.5
1 x bios for xboxes v1.6
You should have a Xbox version 1.6 if you are running that bios.
Thank you. Where do I get it and where do I get the dashboard. The bios I have put in does not FRAG like the rest bu turns itself off and on. Will a dasboard sort this out.

I would say get X3 3294 bios and flash that it has a 1-5 and a .6 version, and this is the most bug free and compatible for the X3 Chip..

I have got AID 3.0 have burned it on to a DVD+R start up the box and it comes up AID 3.0 at the bottom but does not hit the Main screen. Screen goes black although light is still Green. I know CD-RW and DVD-R are the best but I have a Samsung DVD in the box. I have flashed with a 512k.evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137 . Its says I have a 1024 chip in the box.

Now have it sorted with AID 3.0 up and running my router keep asigning 192.168.0.2 when the range is 192.168.1.2 - .1.255 what am i doing wrong as i cant connect using FTP

the AID is using dhcp.
boot AID and install dahes, apps etc
when finished boot to the installed dash and configure the network settings you want to use
or just configure the DHCP range on your router
