Hi (this is my first post on here)
I can open music/videos etc with XBMC using WORKGROUP (SMB) but i can't connect to the internet with it.
My PC setup is:

The downstairs Computer is wired with an Ethernet Cable.
Can anybody help?

What are the network settings within XBMC? DHCP or hard coded? List your network settings for your XBOX along with your PC settings. Sounds like DNS maybe on your XBOX.

It's ok now i got it sorted thanks. I think it was because of DNS and i had to change a firewall setting so it could use internet connection sharing.

I was just about to say.. Check your DNS.. lol
Thanks for replying.. Im sure it will help someone out..

To find out your DNS off your pc do this for anyone else reading:

1. Click Start Menu
2. Choose Run and type 'cmd' (without the '') and press enter
3. Now type ipconfig /all

thats it.. Write down all your pc network settings.. It will help!
