I need a modchip for the kiddos 1.0 xbox. Tried the hotswap tuts etc. and nothing worked for an error 16. Now I am going the chip route.
I need a solderless chip. Kiddo just plays games no tweaking and what not by her or me. Maybe even need to play back up games. Which solderless chip will be the easiest to install and use for her requirements?? Better yet who has the darn things in stock???
I was looking at a xenium but NOBODY has them in stock. They seem to get good reviews but how the heck do you get them??
Anyway, any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks for looking!!

You might check with da-goat here. He was setting up (or has set up) a shop and may have some in stock. If not, he should be a good resource for where some may be.
You might check also the Xenium site www.teamxodus.com and check some of the recommended sellers there as well.

Wow...thanks for the quick responses!!
I was leaning towards the Xenium SPice/Ice/Gold because of so many good reviews of quality and simplicity. I would be open to others if they are as reliable and simple to operate/install. Cheaper is better, used is ok too I suppose. Like I said, the kiddo wants to play games, possibly 'backed up' ones. She's not interested in hacks, ftp'ing, etc.
Let me know what ya got and pricing..... versus what you think would be my best route.

Not to thread crap, but j8994, do you have any used/spare X3's laying around?? Looking for a deal on one. I have found new ones for around $50 plus shipping, but this is for a spare machine so was either hoping to find someone who wanted to do some trading or possibly a used chip that has not been repaired in anyway.
I do not need the LPC Rebuild board or the wire install plug. I do however need all the other wires/connections.
On another note, if you are still looking for a Xenium Ice mod chip and the SPICE solderless adapter, I have one Xenium Ice that I never opened yet, and I have one spare spice adapter. The spice adapter has been opened, but that was just so I could look at it. It wasn't used. I actually have two of the adpaters, but one adapter is missing the screw and plastic part that comes with it.
Make me an offer and maybe I"ll just get rid of it as I could always use some extra spending money _________________ Xbox 1.4

There's actually a few places with X3's in stock now, and the Xeniums, google is your best friend in this place, even froogle helps out a bit. All I can say is, take your time, do your research and look for the best prices. Honestly, the only browser I know that makes this taks easy is firefox. Tab the hell out of it. I still have yet to see if this thing has a max tab limit, and I've had MANY web pages open at once.
I got my Xectuer 2.6CE from a modchip place out of FL... lemmie see if I can't find the link....
They have a couple of bad reviews, but I can't complain about the quality, or the shipping time. Only thing is the customer service, you have to wait a while to get a response. But the product is phenominal. Even got the newest Xapter (fat blue with LEDs and such) and that was about 5 months ago. DJB ordered his chip from a different source (Same chip and package) but got stuck with the old black Adapter. Both are fine, I just like looks .
As far as my stock, i'm out right now, I have softmodding supplies, cases, PSU's, Controller ports, mobos and unlocked HDD's, but as far as chips, I only have my CE, and I'm NOT parting with it, unless you want to pay above retail, lol.
But, like I said, just do your research, be patient, and if you have to, call the retailer or E-mail them to get your questions answered. Does this chip come with Flashbios on a bank? Does it have the wire harness/solderless adapter/Pinheadder? What kind of Garauntees does it come with. There are no stupid questions when it comes to spending your money, so don't be afraid to get the old "YOu're an idiot" response.
