ok, my xbox is not modded as yet and i'm getting error messages. not sure of the error number but the msg is as follows. call customer care my xbox needs repair. its a black screen with green writings.
It works fine other wise by means of loading all the games i put into it. I wonder if it was because i updated the dash. I put in NCAA 2005 and it updated the xbox so i wonder. Never got the msg before. Also my xbox wasn't reading any disc when i first got it, so i went inside and found out that there wasn't any screw at the side of the dvd drive, and i screwed her up and it started working although sometimes it chips out saying that it can't read the disc. Any suggestions?

the dvd drive is kinda messed up .... as for the error code ... this can happen either ways modded or non moded. we need that error code number ... 2 digits top left corner... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Solution: Check the IDE Connection/Cable and check the Power Supply
Service Error 13:
Info: Dashboard launch failed (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.
Solution: Lock the Harddisk if not done so. Try updating your M$ Retail Dashboard _________________

the most common user error to come up with error 07 is the wrong jumper settings on the hdd, so make sure it's on CS, not master nor slave.
error 13 should be simple to fix with a game like halo 2, and it should update your dash, but instead it will install it all brand new and to version 5960, if this doesn't work, hotswap is your best bet if you don't want to buy a chip. _________________ Xbox v1.1

thanks guys. Well i am going to check if the jumper is set to cable select, and if the ide cable is pluged in correctly. As i said before though, I have updated the dashboard to 5960, i used a 2005 game, some college football and it has game named top spin on it too. so the dash as been updated i'll check the jumper and the IDE cable. If any doesn't work????

well its not giving me the call customer care screen that frequently anymore, but i'm still getting it sometimes. But thank you guys for the help.
