after I type ´xboxhd´ in xbohdm program, in the menu I choose to build a new xbox hd scratch, when appears the part of activating the fatx particion table it says [error] why is that?
No offense taken, I don't understand you when you are asking if my box play original games from the DVD player?, Yes my HD is the original retail and it does'nt been upgraded, No I don't own any of the exploitable games used for soft modding and I don't have access to an Action Replay or a memory card. What can I do to fix it? Thank you I really appreciate your help

Lobito,

The reason I asked you whether or not you can play an original game was to see if your box could be soft modded.

Another thing, please don't keep starting new threads (topics).

I took the time to read your 3 separate posts but the other guys may not and ask you the same questions over and over.

Thank you for time I really appreciate that your are trying to help me, I am from Costa Rica and in here there are store´s that softmodd the xbox by putting a chip, around 3 years ago I went to one of store´s and they put one to my xbox, one day I think it was on september of last year I was playing GTA San Andreas when the game frozze down I decided to turn off the machine, At the other I wanted to play so I turn on the xbox it was at that moment when error appears, I thaked to store again so at the store they say to the ne a lot of false things like the reader it was broken and others stuff I they wanted to charge me $150 to fix it I don´t pay them that amount so they return me the xbox when I start to research what was the problem I open my machine and I realized that they took the chip off my machine, that´s way I'm trying to fix it by myself. Sorry for my english I'm just started to learn it and sorry I am new at this site's and I don't that I can put a reply to a message.

Lobito,

No problemo.

Does your Xbox play an original game from the DVD player?
Do you have the original HD or has it been upgraded to a larger drive?

Hang in there, stay with this thread and we'll come up with a solution...or at least we'll understand the problem, then propose a solution.

i'm sorry i didnt see you said anything about error 16 on this thread .

further more you just need to do what is called : hotswap w/out an eeprom

that should fix your xbox . then you can softmod it and then upgrade hd

it is in fact . a softmod MUST REQUIRE a locked hd . you need your unique eeprom.bin ( easy fix man ) or a chip ur choice .

When I do the hotswap and I want to rebuild it from scratch it appears this "activating the fatx particion table it says [error]" so the program tell to reboot and do it again, so I do it again and that appears again, so i can`t do anything with my hd, and I don't the eeprom.bin of my hd, by the way my hd is the one that came with my xbox

if you never softmoded it you wont see your eeprom.bin

lmao thats what it says on this thread right ? lol the error .

my mistake ok so what you wanna do is .

re download xdm1.9 get a new fresh ms-c from pirrup extract and drag to C folder then click make iso win burn the image right way dont drag and drop to your burner. then re try the process .

you got the timing right ( which is the hardest part ) then the rest is easy .
