cant connect to my xbox, im usin a linksys model nr041 router and my reg stuff.....everything worked fine with stock xbox but after i odded it i cant d anything.....my ftp settings look right....only way i can connect is by disconnecting my net from the tcp/ip properties.....can anyone gimme a hand _________________ with all the new shit comin out ill always be a noob

meant normal cat 5 cable....do i need a crossover?....my buddies works fine with cat 5 but hes got diffrent router _________________ with all the new shit comin out ill always be a noob

you dont need a crossover cable make sure you setup the xbox with static ip adress on the same range as your network
to find out your range click on start type cmd a new windows will open up there you type ipconfig /all you will then see all your network info for that computer like the ip adress subnet mask and so on
if your ip adress is 192.168.1.7 give your xbox a ip adress of 192.168.1.200 way outside of any DHCP server. and subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 this is a class C subnet mask
for gateway give the xbox the same im sure for a linksys is 192.168.1.1
save the changes and reboot from the EVOX dash
