I finally got my xenium chip working, I think. I flashed the bios using the evox m7. and then used the slayers auto-installer. I went down and chose to install apps, evox...etc. I cant remember what all it was. But it asked to install it on a retail hard drive or a large hard drive. I have a new 120 gb hard drive installed so i chose the large hard drive. I sat and watched it load all kinds of stuff on the F partition. Then when it was done I took the auto-installer out and rebooted and it booted up in the original ms xbox dashboard. There are no options to do anything as far as my mod chip is concerned and it doesn't load up in the evox dashboard, I don't think like I said it looks exactly like the original xbox dashboard. So my question is what did I do wrong? What do I need to do now? Thanks in advance.

hi mate,
i would really suggest download the XBOX-HQ AUTO INSTALLER which is much more up-to-date with all its apps and dashboards etc..
Slayers Auto Installer is getting really old now too. So get the XBOXHQ AI and then rebuild your machine.
If you are installing a NEW 120gb hDD into your xbox you must format/parition the drive before trying to install the dashboard etc.

I'm sorta confused...if he saw the installer load all the apps on f: drive...??
Wouldn't that mean the drive was already formated and partioned?? I'm getting ready to mod mine this week and add a new 40 gb drive...Do I need to format w/ my pc first?? Will I still have to format first using the XBOX-HQ AUTO INSTALLER ?? Thanks ![/quote]

I got it to work. When it gave me the option to load it on a new hard drive on F: or on the origanal hard drive on C: I chose the new hard drive since I did install a new 120 gig hard drive. I dont know why but when it booted up it loaded on the C: partition which had the origanol xbox dashboard. I then picked to load on a origanal hard drive on the C: drive and then when I turned my xbox on it loaded up with the evox dashboard now everything works great. I am loading games on the hard drive and everything. I still have some questions. I dont know how to get it to play dvd's or avi files or any of that stuff. I choose the dvdx player and the media player in the evox dashboard and it does nothing. Is there a certain way I have to do it? By the way thanks for everyones help on this site. I had no clue as to what I needed to do to get my chip working and everyone here was very friendly and helpful. thanks again everyone

Hi mate,
Great work getting it working..
If you want to play .mp3 .wmv divx, xvid etc on your xbox you will need to install the XBOX MEDIA CENTER from the XBOX-HQ AUTO INSTALLER..
All you have to do then is boot XBMC (XBOX MEDIA CENTER) from your xbox and copy some files via ftp to your xbox HDD... Then just choose the files to play using the XBMC EXPLORER.
Im sure you can set which DIRECTORY on your XBOX you want to hav emovies and music in.. Look at the .ini , .XML file that comes in the XBMC directory on your xbox..
