Hey Jrcampos, to update XBMC just
-delete the 0face008 folders in the E:\tdata and e:\udata folders
-clear(delete) your e:\cache
-clear your x,y,z drives
FTP the app to your xbox, start it up, and you should be able to navigate the XBMC menus with your newer version. _________________

Are you softmodded or chipped?
If you have a xecuter or xenium with 2.3.0 os, the x,y, and z drives can be cleared in the menus by selecting "Clear cache", or you can do it by hand with FTP, idk why you don't see the xyz drives, anyone else know why?? _________________

Not hidden but are necessary. Try using Xpolorer and see if you see the drives. Without them, you'll likely have issues. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

I just updated my xbmc last night. I'm trying it out as my dash. I followed what impwiz posted and copied the files to the xbmc directory on e: (that's where I had it). I restarted and there were no changes. So I went to clear out my cashes again and stumbled into a q: partition. It had the xbmc files in there too . I copied the files to that partition and when I restarted, the update worked. Seems like the q: partition is like a boot partition. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

What I did was instead of ftp'ing, I burned the files to a disc and used the xbmc file manager to copy the files over. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

You can delete the tdata and udata of xbmc with 1 swift swoop in Microshaft's dashboard. Although xbmc is awesome, I wouldn't use it as a main dash because of all the damn updates. Oh, and about the not seeing x,y,z drives... scary . Hit the refresh button when FTPing and hopefully they'll reappear. Good Luck. _________________ [XBOX v1.6b / Xecuter 3 CE / Western Digital Caviar SE 300GB HD / ATA166 IDE Cable / XCM Cystal Clear Case / Red Firework LED 80mm Fan / 12v Fan Mod / UnleashX Default Dash]

Yup, that is XBMC's virtual memory cache. If you don't completely power down the XBox, you will also need to delete/clear q:, but I would make sure you don't just restart XBMC, you have to shut off XBox (or better yet, FTP the XBMC files to your box while running UnleashedX or EvoX rather than XBMC).
