Ok, so heres the deal, i had a softmod, and i accidentally deleted everything on my C drive, so now it just goes to the xbox logo and stays there.
sum1 told me that if i got a chip i could fix it...(with many errors and fixes) i got the chip in. but now when i go to put a cd-rw in with a new dash MY DVD DRIVE WONT OPEN!!!!!
anything would be helpful...also if i could get a link to a download 4 it, that wood b great 2

Ok.. So your chipped now.. did you flash your modchip with a bios??
If you havent i would suggest you do.. As you cant boot backups, autoinstallers etc etc until you are running a hacked bios on your modchip.
Once your modchip is flashed you should just be able to boot AIdeluxe (http://www.aideluxe.com) from a DVD-R or CDRW on your xbox and then reinstall everything.
i know that, its just that the DVD drive wont eject>
i push the button and it sounds like its trying to eject but sumtin is blocking it.
i tried to do the manual eject hole thing...but it still didnt work
EDIT: I got the original dash and BIOS's running and got Evolution X

Hum...sounds like you tweaked the DVD drive when you put it back in. I would open the case again (is the top of the xbox blocking the drive tray?) and see if everything is in properly.

I got the DVD drive out of my box andd removed that metal thing in the front... so there is nothing to block it, but it still wont open
is there sum kind of safety trigger button thing that would make it do that, bcuz i didnt totally close my box

Try opening the box, putting holding the dvd drive in the air (or on the harddrive), and hitting the eject button. If it opens, than something is blocking it in the box, if it doesn't open than you know it is a software issue. _________________ XBOX- V1.0

it only takes a couple easy screws to pull the top off the dvd drive if you suspect something is jammed in there _________________ .
