Sounds like you're trying to rip the Xbox game with your PC, which is not the way to do it...
You have to put the DVD into your Xbox, then either copy it to your Xbox's HDD, or FTP your PC to your Xbox and copy everything in the D Partition (the D folder).
Hope that helps...

You only get video and vob files ????
I don't know what the hell you're doing but I think you are far off the track here. video_ts files are what you get when you put the Xbox DVD into a PC DVD-ROM or Burner.
I suugest you have a browse through our tutorial section and do some reading...

I've read just about every post I can find. I'm using xeniums os2 beta which I am now thinking may be the problem. I put a game in the xbox, connect the xbox to my laptop with a crossover cable(not regular cable), open up flashfxp, and connect to the xbox fine. I see the folders from the xbox and click on the D folder. All it shows me is what I would see if I just had the game in my computer dvd rom. I know it doesn't make sense and it's probably something funky with the os2 beta that I'm not doing, but since there seems to be nothing on the net yet on os2 I think I'll just try and back out and go with evox. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help. I know I'm new to all this, but damn it frustrating!

I dont see what a modchip OS version has to do with what files you see via your flashFXP program. The files reside on your xbox HD, the flashFXP resides on your laptop, it can only see what is there.
What you need to do is rip the game to your XBOX HD first. Just looking at it through a FTP program while it's in the tray isn't going to help you.
What you want to do is this.
Rip the game using DVD2Xbox or PxxHDloader. I personally never have used the DVD2Xbox.
Once the game is on your HD, then connect via FTP and check out the files that you have. You can then FTP it to your PC HD and create the ISO file using Nero. Once the ISO is created then you can burn it to disk and enjoy a fully backed up game to a DVDR disk.
Let me know if that helped. I think we're getting closer to what you need to do. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

On some programs and xbox's including flashfxp, you must have the crossover cable connected to PC and xbox before turning on your xbox. Then when you put the game in your xbox, wait until the light finishes flashing before you even open flashfxp. Try this and let me know how it goes.

Yes that is true also, as when the dashboard boots it determines if the network is present.
Just to quickly mention something to, it's said that you rip the game to the HDD before using FlashFXP. About 99.9% of the time this is the case but in some cases (like Enter the Matrix for instance) to copy it to your PC properly you had to read it straight off the Xbox DVD-ROM Drive (D Drive). Also, games like The Sims Bustin' Out where they don't have a XBE Title, so unless you're using PxHDDLoader (which automatically creates folder names according to the order they were intstalled) you won't be able to rip it properly.
I thought I would share this little bit of info, just to show that the Xbox can be nasty at times...

dont forget to push the 'F5' key on your keyboard once you are viewing your XBOX D: DVD ROM..
This will refresh the folders so that you can view them all..
If you are seeing .VOB files then you must be trying to copy the GAME using your PC DVDROM DRIVE.. (it wont work)
So put it back into your xbox and try again..
You will know when you have it.. You will see a default.xbe file in the root directory of your xbox DVD ROM..
