Hey what's up guys? I have the strangest problem with Kai. I can log in, even get a list of my buddies that are online and offline, and i can see everyone who is hosting games and so on. But when i try to log into a game Kai shuts down and i get a message saying that i am unreachable! I already have port 30000 forwarded for Kai. A screengrab of my router setup is below. Can anyone please help me sort this damn problem out. I am dying to play World series of poker on Kai, coincidentally, if anyone wants a game, PM me and i'd love to set a game up. Oh and by the way my Xbox IP address is 192.168.0.2
Thanks

You SHOULD be forwarding ports to the PC RUNNING XLINK KAI GATEWAY! NOT YOUR XBOX.. heheh lol
Thats your prob by the looks of it..
Once you forward port 30000 to your PC IP ADDRESS instead of the xbox it should work perfect mate.

hey forahobby, thanks for the reply. I changed what you said and then i also checked my firewall settings on the router and they seem to be ok (i think). I have attached a pic of my firewall setup. I seem to have put in 2 settings for Xlink at some point and can't delete the second one. Can you tell me if i'm doing something else wrong here, because i still keep gettind booted out everytime i try to join a game.......
Thanks

hi,
I thinkyou problem is you have to FORWARD ports from the INTERNET to the PC RUNNING XLINK KAI.
It looks to me by your screenshot that you are only forwarding ports on your LOCAL NETWORK and not forwarding from the INTERNET to the pc RUNNING XLINK KAI..
do you know what i mean..
I could be confused by your wireless setup but thats what it looks like to me.
I have my xbox on via wireless game adapter and WIRELESS G GATEWAY and i dont have any probs.
The ports just need to be forward from my ROUTER (internet) to my PC RUNNING XLINK KAI.
So i have ports forwarded to:
PORT: 30000 FORWARD TO: 192.168.0.1
sorry i cant be of more help.. Sounds like your nearly there..

also,
I just remember someone told me with some routers you dont have to forward any ports at all.. Try removing the ports you forwarded and give XLINK KAI a GO.. If it doesnt work then come back and try again..
btw..im no expert on your router and setup so its a bit hard to say..

How come it's ALWAYS the simplist answer that works BEST. Forahobby, you are the best man. You were right. I deleted all the settings i had for both Xbconnect and Kai and now they work flawlessly.
Thanks brother
