i love this program, but it's a hassle to go to applications and load xbmc every time i boot up my xbox. is there any way to have it automatically boot up and load xbmc?

Put it as your "C" dashboard or change the ini file of the bios to boot to it. Either way would work. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Yeah, I have XBMC as my default dashboard, works pretty slick and you don't have to worry about loading it after your dashboard loads. If you use the Autoinstaller, you can set it up that way easy as pie! _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Ive only been using KAI XLINK for a little while now (about 2 weeks). I tried to use it once before but it was buggy so i left it..
I used to think another online gaming program for xbox called XBC (xbconnect.com) was excellent. But once you get your XBMC dashboard setup and pc software installed you can do it all without even going to your pc.
love it.
hopefully you can come online with some games on your hdd and say hi..

I got the program, using it on windows xp. The program opens fine and I can see all the people playing their games, however, it does not detect my xbox. Any suggestions as far as getting the program to see my xbox and getting this thing set up? _________________ XBOX- V1.0

how do i edit the .ini?
also, what's all this about default dashboards... if i use aid 2.11, will it reformat my hard drive or mess up anything that's already installed on the xbox?
thanks, and if someone could give me a step-by-step tutorial, that'd be great! _________________ Xbox V1.6

Is your xbox setup on the network correctly?
You will have to have a ip address set for your xbox on the same ip range as your router/pc..
Once you do XLINK KAi will find your console no probs..
You have to go into XBMC programs config (settings) and setup your xlinkkai username and password. You also have to give XBMC KAI the ip address of your pc which is running the XLINK PC SOFTWARE.
Hopefully that gets you started..
Ill do a full step by step tutorial when ive got time guys.

The default dashboard is the first thing you see when you turn on your xbox..
Your default dashboard could be: EVOX, XBMC, UnleashX or any other dashboard.

AID doesnt format unless you tell it too.. Basically it only copies files from the dvdrom to your xbox hdd.. So your very safe to say you wont lose anything at all..
