I have a big problem. I am using a wireless router and gaming adapter from Linksys that worked perfectly until today. I was FTPing a video file from my pc to my xbox and all of a sudden the transfer seemd to go to a rate of 0Kb per second and wouldn't go back up. I cancelled the transfer and closed flashfxp and restarted the xbox and pc and launched flashfxp again but it just won't connect to teh xbox anymore no matter what i do. Does anyone have any ideas???? _________________ Predtech

Try resetting (rebooting) your router. Then make sure the ip's are still the same. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

This is killing me. here's a list of everything i have done.
1 i did a hard reset on both the router and wireless game adapter.
2 checked the settings on the game adapter with teh installation cd
3 brought the game adapter back to Circuit city where i got a new one, same model, same problem still
4 uninstalled Flashfxp and anything to do with it in the registry, and then reinstalled a freshly downloaded copy of it
double, tripple, and quadruple checked the settings as far as the IP configuration is concerned, and made sure PASV was turned on in Flashfxp
And after ALL that it still won't work. The crazy thing is that the connection is there, i know because i litterally just finished playing a race on Forza motorsport with a guy on Xbconnect about 2 minutes ago......
I am COMPLETELY stumped on this problem.....

turn off all FIREWALLS including WINDOWS FIREWALL until you get it working.
Just because you were playing XBCONNECT online doesnt mean you have setup your FTP NETWORK SETTINGS correctly..
I made a reply in your other post too.. GIve your full ip information and then we can determine what your xbox ip address and info should be.
example:
If you router is:
ip: 192.168.0.100
subnet: 255.255.255.0
then you could give you xbox a ip of:
ip: 192.168.0.1 (or 0.2, 0.3 etc etc)
subnet: 255.255.255.0
Thats it.. You should be able to connect to your xbox then.
Another test would be to trya nd ping the ip address of the xbox from your pc. to do this you can try:
1. Click Start Menu and choose Run
2. Type 'cmd' and press enter
3. type 'ping 192.168.0.1' or your ip address of xbox and press enter
4. you should get a REPLY
If you do not get a reply then you network is still not setup.

Guess what, i went and fucked it up somehow. I noticed that if loaded the MS dashboard and went to the network settings and into the wireless section to check for the wireless adapter it never found it, so i updated the firmware in the wireless adapter and now the MS dashboard recognizes the wireless adapter but GUESS WHAT???????? flashfxp doesn't work anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, Jesus H. Christ, what the hell is it that i have to do to make this damn FTP work successfully????
PLEASE for the love of god, SOMEBODY help me fix this problem. I am about to fuckin slice my wrists because i can't figure it out...... _________________ Predtech

make sure your firewalls are turned off.
Maybe you could also try pinging your xbox from the pc using a dos prompt.
eg. ping 192.168.0.1 - t
that will send a packet of data from the pc to the xbox over the network.. If the pc finds the xbox on the network it will reply and tell you how long it took for the packet to be sent and returned..
Leave the ping running for a while and test ftping into your xbox.
When the ftp dies check the ping screen and it should tell you whether the network has dropped out or if it is a software (DASHBOARD) problem.
