Hey, I've been modding it up for about a year now with an Xecuter.
I tried installing a Xenium solderless, had some problems with it so, I sent it back and switched for the Xecuter. I've been able to fix a couple hardware problems. I fixed a bad DVD drive, tightened some wires up, have done a little mod modding. But, as far as soldering and motherboard re-wiring I.E. the dreaded TSOP mod I'm not really up to par on that stuff.
I think it's funny how MS losing money on every Xbox they make compared to Sony making like $45 profit at least on every PS2. If they had de-crippled their Xbox's and had it work like a mod from the get-go they would have blown Sony out of the water. I know what you're thinking. Why doesn't MS pay my salary?
Anyway, I think this 360 is going to be a piece of crap. It doesn't really look that much better. I'm not feeling blown away by the junk they've released. I love my mod. I've got all the old school emulators and it's tons of fun.
I play on XB Connect and XlinkKai every now and then but, I'm stationed in Iraq right now so, not having much fun here.
Peace!

I'm currently modding two machines for a rec center in Iraq (National Guard). I did one for a soldiers son, and now they want two for the rec center. They want me to attach some type of metal loop so they can chain them down.
Also, I think they just got their power running, and they may be 220 and not 110. Anyone know of how to handle this conversion? I am hoping that they can just use some type of adapter or something, otherwise I am out two sales...lol.

You don't need to worry about the power conversion. They will have 220-110 converters hard-connected to surge-protectors. They aren't hard to come by in Iraq, I got a 1000 watt converter for free through our supply chain, and they got converters for our whole unit.

I bet thats no fun at all mate.. Keep your chin up though.. You have your xbox to keep you company.. hehe lol
thanks for dropping in and sayng hi and i hope to see you around the forums.. Feel free to help where you can.
Oi! Me xbox recently kicked the bucket, i think hard-drive troubles, so i'm sucking it here. I emailed modgod yesterday with the email he provided in one of his posts to see about getting it sent in, fixed, salvaged, upgraded, whatever.
But, I see he's taking a vacation? Is he leaving? Or still gonna be around? If so, I could still mail it in because, his vacation will probably be over by the time it get's through the mail from here.

Janus, I doubt Modgod is going to go anywhere except perhaps a short trip. He's a staple here and even jumped back on after having to go to the hospital for a while. The dude is unstoppable... hehehe _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

welcome janus !
where are you from ? i was in the belgium army for almost 3 years hehe until i got kicked out for a fight (not in duty)
Well, I've served all over the pacific rim. I originally served 4 years in the Marine Corps as a radio operator in artillery, also in a liason forward observer team, and also as an instructor at Jungle Warfare Training Center in Okinawa where we taught/instructed/assisted with SERES level 2 (not GI Jane stuff), Survival, Tracking, Land Nav, and a wicked 3 mile obstacle course through jungle, trenches, rivers, and cliffs. I've been to Kuwait, Iraq, Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Germany, Ireland, and probably some other places I forgot. I served 4 honorable in the Corps got out as a Corporal, and then 7 months later joined the Army. Since, then I have been accumulating ribbons, medals, and awards like they were raffle tickets at a all female mud wrestling tournament. Whatever. I did the same service in the Army that I did in the Corps, difference is all we ever got for our stellar service in the Corps were death runs at 5am on Saturdays. Anyway, I got out because they screwed my re-enlistment package up twice. So, I told my 1stSgt unless you have something I'm outta here. I wasn't going to wait around in Limbo. Guess, where I wouldv'e been if I hadn't left the Corps? With, the rest of my unit in Fallujah. Most of my buddies left around the same time I did. We got a bunch of new guys in before we all left. One of these guys, was driving a 5 ton, hit an IED and he was the only survivor out of the 7 other people that were riding with him. Screwed up stuff.
Current Awards:
Nation Defense Medal, Navy/Marine Oversea Service Ribbon * 2, Oversea Service Deployment, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon
I really don't care about all that stuff but, I just like to see how many rows I can get. It's funny because I was in the Marine Corps I already have a buttload more of bars than people who are way more senior than me. We had a guy in the Corps who got booted down from Sgt and he had been in Bosnia and a lot of other places, he put his Class A's on and he had like 4 rows.
Plus, I've only been in the Army a year. They give out rank and awards like candy but, I can't fault people for being smarter than me and joining the army at the rank I left the Marine Corps.
But, I wouldn't have traded it for the experiences I had.
Can you say:
50 ways to kill a person with your bare hands
But, just not:
50 ways to kill a person with your bare hands and get away with it
I'm sure you've seen Full Metal Jacket, and they're all like
Kill! Kill! Kill!
Well, it is Kill! but, Kill! within the Rules of Engagement
Anyway, I'm going to bed.
