My friends and I play on Live and they wanna softmod, I gave my friend a copy of AID 2.0 and told him how to use it (with MechAssault). The question is... How do you make it to where you can play on Live (turn off, leave on fear of banning is irrelevant to them), and which options should be used?

Well this is the 3rd question i answerd about putting xbox live back on a Modded xbox (im writeing a tutrioal, obviously we dont have one.)
Here is the tutrioal i just wrote up (i also submitted it! hehe.)
What you need:
your original M$ dashboard,
an FTP client
Retail Hard Drive
NOTE: You will need to RE-MOD your xbox after you are done using this method
Step 1:
Turn on your xbox, until you are at a point where you may FTP over to it.
Step 2:
FTP into your xbox, Via your computer using an FTP client.
Step 3:
Go into your C drive, this is where your Dash board (hacked or original) Resides.
Now Delete everything off your C drive (all the evidence of a hacked Dash).
Step 4:
Next transfer over your Retail Dash to the C drive, once all the files are completely and successfully transferred close the connection to your xbox and close the FTP client.
step 5:
reboot your xbox.
Step 6:
Kick ass on live!

Why do i need the Retail Hard drive?
Well, simply because xbox live can detect big HD drives- anyone with a bigger hard drive, is obviously a modder. For more into type in "Marriage Theory xbox" in google-im sure you'll get a couple of hits.
Should i Delete everything off of my E: that has to do with modding (Apps, Roms, Games- ETC.) ?
You shouldn't have to, i don't believe Xbox live scans the E:. The reason i say "i don't believe" rather than "no they don't" is because Xbox Live service is always doing new things, and always finds ways to make our lives harder.

so you couldn't just switch to the ms dash and go to xbl. You have to restore the c: partition to ratail specs?

I guess...if you did back up the MS dash you can *nervous laugh*

lol, haha , you typed up that whole tuturiol for him and all you had to ask him if he's made a ms backup, and if he had then all you have you do if do the retore ms backup option in SID, then restore mod backup wen you want the mod back on.
