hi i just recently softmod my xbox. it was esay and very usefull. i mainly use it to watch my anime, like NARUTO, with xbox media center ( one of the best program i've ever seen)
everything was okay til i accidently pull the plug on my xbox and well my xbox wouldn't play anymore video/ audio files. . o so well i tried to reinstall the whole softmod memory hack in hope to be able to watch my animes again. but still nothing work so i somehow ended up deleteing all my files in the c drive. ( yeah i know stupid )
now here is the main problem i am trying to fix:
i can't seem to load up to the dashboard so i can download my save hack to try to softmod the xbox and install the new dashboard into c so my hard drive will work again.
my xbox can still play games fine. it load the games without problem, it even save game data (so i am guessing the hd is accessable).
my xbox can't go online. i was wondering would it be possible to install the hack save onto a memory card and make the xbox game load the save data from that memory card so that way it'll load up the linux program to softmod the hd?
or is there a way to access the xbox via ftp with an xbox software?
i don't know i am kinda lost. i am just trying to find a way to access my xbox hd to install the old stuff back into the xbox c drive so the hd will work again.
any help is greatly appreciated

you need a boot disk.
if that fails you will need
a mod chip.
i hope you have made a back up of
your c:\ like every tut in the
world says, because you cannot
simply copy it from another xbox it
won't work.
I Really think that if your going
to softmod your xbox, you should
consider a TSOP Flash. I always
do this now as it is a life line
when things go wrong.
no game i know of lets you load
gamesaves straight from the
memory card so unless you already
have the exploit on your E:\
your not going to be able to use
it. without your C:\ i don't
think there is much a softmod
could do anyway.

trust me i was in the same boat and theonly way around like they say is through getting a mod chip or by some random means getting the save game exploit back onto the HDD..... n hopefully in your Xbox's case it doesnt end up like how mine did and doesnt play games at all or CD's cuz then unless u have warranty....ur gonna b spendin quite a bit of money on your system...........
