Ok guys i need some major help! This is what i did.I tried to softmod a 1.5 xbox yesterday after i installed the softmod using mech assualt and slayers 1.6 i unlocked the hard drive thinking and remembering that i read on our site it was ok to do that if youre not using the microsoft dashboard anyways.So after i did that i restarted it and i got a error message 5.I tried to burn aid using dvd decrypter trying to get it to boot before error message came up but to no avail it didnt work either.So now what i have is an error 5 on that hard drive.Ok then i have a westeren digital hard drive that cam out of a 1.6 xbox but when i put it in the 1.5 i get an errror message 6 and the same goes for the hard drive i have otu of the 1.0 xbox thats a westeren digital is thgere a way to work around any of this without using a mo d chip? _________________ Xbox Version 1.6

softmodded xbox boots the oryginal bios first .....soooo
if the harddrive is not locked then you gonna get an error ,
if you try harddrives from other xbox its not going to work because they are either unlocked ...which will give you an error ...or they are locked but with a different key ...so you also are going to get an error ,
every xbox has a different harddrive key ,
so the only way to lock you harddrive back is to install a modchip ,
there are ways to lock it back up ...but you would have to have a copy of the eeprom from that xbox ..then you would have to flash that eeprom to already modded xbox then lock that harddrive on a modded xbox then reflash the eeprom to the oryginal ...
so basically what im saying is .....you will need a modchip or a chipped xbox to get it back running _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a
