Hi guys,
Well after the expansion of the site and many new sectoins to look after i am looking for 1 x individual who can be our XBOXHQ News Admin.
Current admins for NEWS:
TheModGod, CustomXMods and myself (forahobby) have been adding the latest news ourselves in any sparetime we may have.. (not much).. But what im thinking is this..
We want 1 x FULL TIME NEWS admin.. Thats right only 1..
Their job will be to obtain the latest news daily from all the xbox sites worldwide.. THATS IT! Norhing else. If we have one news administrator it will be easy not to double up on the news etc like we have occassionally in the past.
Then all the other admins can look after their own sections.
example:
customxmods does the SWF Tutorials
TheModGod does Hardware Reviews and Normal Tutorials etc etc (heaps more too)
forahobby can continue to code and fix the site. I want to add many new features but am finding it hard to get time to do it.. This is why we need more admins..

heres the requirements:
- Must be on the web daily (no excuses).
- Must constantly add new stories everyday (no matter what)
This may also include uploading screenshots and small files.
- You must have over 100 posts in the HQ forums before i will even consider trialing you for this position.
After the 3 month trial period the member who is selected to become our New Administrator will receive FULL VIP LIFETIME access for free.

Yeah, that's a great idea forahobby...
After I spend time in the forums, throwing up tutorials for requests, moving posts and all, I don't have as much time for the news as I would like...which sucks because I like doing the news...
If anyone applies for this, I'll help you out as far as showing you how to add download buttons and images to your news.
Even though this is only one responsibilty for someone it is an important one.
It's very important that the news looks good, spelling and tags are all done correctly, because it's the first page that new visitors see.
When I do a news story, one story can take up to 20 minutes or so depending on how much I have to do to it.

I know that I haven't exactly been here that long, only subscribed 12/29/04, but I'd like to think that I've been here forever. Obviously there are going to be other members that are either VIP or just registered users that probably have more "time" spent here than I do, but I would like a shot at the News ADMIN.
I already look around the web for new news concerning the xbox, why not put it to work for a good cause? I know that this position will ultimately carry a lot of responsibility due to the vast user base and new members every day, that's why I'd like to help out in any way that I can.
PM me or just respond to this post and let me know what you guys think. If I'm not accepted, I won't take it personally. I know that this site is very important to a lot of you (including me) so it's no big deal.

i suppose i could be of service but i don't really know of any news sites. i basically just read the news here and at xbox-scene. so i would require some links to get started. otherwise as you all may have noticed i am on here daily. i also have a decent connection so uploading would not be a problem for me. (uploaded AID 1.01 in 5 hours ). Let me know.
ps. i also have some experience with html and some java script and some vb script but i mainly copyied all my work outta the books lol

I've backed way off since the last contest in submitting news. I did enjoy sharing what I had found when I was quite active at posting. I was hoping something like this might come along at some point. I would quite frankly really enjoy the opportunity and wish to be considered for the position. Thanks for all your interest.. I have been keeping an eye on each and everyone who has replied with a comment anyway.. I was hoping you guys would reply.
Just before i make any announcements etc etc (which will be done at a later stage) could you guys let me know if you would be interested in maintaining admin in other sections of the site if you are UNSUCCESSFULL with the news admin?
We have so many sections and need your help with those too??
Maybe another sections interests you more..
Heres some of the other admins im looking for:
- Cheats Administrator - JOB will be to constantly add the lastest cheats, tips and walkthroughs to the cheats section.. I will soon be upgrade the cheats section to be in catgories and also have pretty pictires. heheh lol
- Xbox FAQS Administrator - JOB will be to constantly add the latest Frequently Asked Questions to that section of the website.. Not really a full-time position but the admin can also request access to administrator another section.
- Xbox Weblinks & Link Affiliate Administrator - JOB will be to contact all xbox sites worldwide and trade links.. This members job is extremely important because without this we would have no visitors.. Basically just send out a mass email occasionally to other sites so we can link swap..
ok.. thats just off the top of my head and what i have to do everyday normally.. The more you guys help the more work i can get on with updating the backend of the WEBSITE with more features.

Hey forahobby, I would be interested in helping in any way. The way that this site has helped me out . I understand i do not meet the eligibilty requirements for News admin, but im here every day and i would be interested in being ad admin for the news, cheats, or in any way possible.
I work as a PC repair tech so if my expertise could help in that aspect also just let me know.

That what we all do here.. ModGod works, I work on 24x7 on-call support for my clients and most of the other admins work too or go to TAFE or UNIVERISITY etc..
Im just trying to spread the load so the website can build in every direction.
Guys, when yo reply please make a list like this of what the preffered admin sections you want:
My Selections:
1. News Admin
2. Cheats Admin
3. FAQS Admin
4. Other
if your interested in another area of the site just asked.. Im sure we can work it out.
