Yes, all these new ideas seem like they could be possible, but WHY does M$ want to spend more money in develeopment costs on the original Xbox is beyond me. They should be putting money and time towards their new console.

I would think the decline in M$ game sales, would cause game makers to pressure M$ into getting away from a moddable box, hence the none existant hard drive. Was that not an article here about a week ago?
Yeah they sold some consoles last year, but I am sure the ratio of Box sales to games sales has drastically changed. I mean really think of the dynamics of what we do. I am sure M$ was on top of this issue long ago. Bill himself said the Xbox would never be able to access the net...think he wants to be found wrong twice. If I were him I would pay the millions to change up production just to stay in the market, if not he would be taking a huge gamble on Companies even producing xbox games....not to mention I bet he has a huge ego & I think we sort of piss him off when we play with his toys. _________________ LED Rings $6 (doesnt include LEDs) LED ring pic

Hmm. Ya you read it here jiggy. But the article said there would most likely be two (possibly 3) xboxes, The Lite version that would play games with no HDD, I think this might use 1 gig flash memory or somrthing. And the Pro version that has a HDD and is a full blown Media Center.
It made perfect sence to me when Bill said that the intention of the Xbox 1 was to gain the trust of the gaming community as a great console. I think if they came out with a Media Center/Game console first the gaming community (ecpecially non computer literate ones) would be skeptical of it. now that we all know its cool they have us by the moutian oysters.
I also think the reduction in sales dosent have much to do with Xbox modding. We as the modding community make up only a miniscule section of the whole Xbox consumer base. Many people who play consoles arent all that technical people, and many dont own computers. We are the few and the proud.
Ha Ha modgod! I told my girlfriend about the pics I put up of the mole and the first thing she said was "Get me some nachos and hold the GuacaMOLEY" Then I come home and see your post and about laughed my ass off.
