hi ya
In breif (coz i'm using linksboks)
i*m trying to softmod my other xbox
with splinter cell and here is what
i'm seeing; upon loading splinter cell i see the profile linux under
the controller it says -BAD TYPE- and difficulty -HARD- , when i click on linux i get check points and
levels, if i load levels the screen
goes white and nout happens, if i click on C P i get taken to media x menu. Lots of info is present at this stage
XBOX V1.0
MXM 0.9n.6 beta
Kernal: 1.0.4034
BIOS:(Blank)
When i then try to go into
UDE Install, (UDE1)
ERROR (line 1): (callscript) "ActionScript file failed execution"
it does the same thing when i click
on Uninstall UDE and Backup
when i reboot, The xbox seems quite normal it still has the xbox live menu and happily loads games.
although iM unwilling to try to get on xbox live as i value my stats.

i'm guessing you have a corrupt file as all is well until you try and install the UDE. and yes it should be the checkpoint you pick and not levels

Cool.
As DJB pointed out to me in XBOX-HQ IRC, once MXM dash is running you can ftp in to the xbox. so I have backed up my T & U data along with my entire C:\Dir. at this stage Im very happy. I'm not gonna rush into
anything, I'm just gonna read up some more and see if the tuts make more sense to me.
I can't help but wonder if it is poss to run a autoinstaller disc at this point? Guess not. the xbox rests if i open the tray.
would it be able to run it if i unplug the dvd drive and swap the discs?

just had a go at using the uxe sc.
unrared it on my pc (complex tools 1.6 crashed every time i tryed to unrar it) copyed the two files to my mem card. go's to ms dash to transferre it to my HDD but nowt shows up! am i cursed or what?
i've try'd to learn how to do this with a chip, I've tryed to learn how
to TSOP, now I'm still having problems that no one else has, I havn't even got to the hard bit yet.
Its 1:15 in the morning here now and i've been doing nothing but P?$$ around with this xbox for the last three weeks, why did MS have to make
the stock xbox so crap? its so dull!
the only time a stock xbox seems intresting is when you plug it into
a hub with another 8 to 15 more xboxs.
(done ranting now)
WHAT POSSESES PEOPLE TO BUY PS2?

why the fcuk is nothing appearing on my fcuking memory card!
i just put the same itools on the card that was on there to start with
and now thats not showing there!
Why is there no read me included with this!!!

lmao i know the feeling blighty. i think you should go to bed and start fresh tomorrow. after dicking around till 7 am this morning trying to get my xbox working again 100% and when i got up it took me about 30 minutes to find a working solution to the problem i was having

ha ha ha....
got it working now and have had a good look round. I had been thinking
of changing the stock dash (evox) to unleash untill i had a problem with
a skin download that was corrupt. unleash failed to boot at all till i deleted the dodgey skin.
can the drive partition feature of
unleashx be
used to unlock the xstra gigs from
the stock drive & where do i find
the default password?

just to fill in the missing link
the problem i had was i had unrar'd
the file i'd downloaded then copy'd
the zips to the memory card - NO GOOD
It works fine when you un zip the two
files and then copy that to the card.
it might have been more obvious to
me had i ever gone looking in there
before.
As a rule i never mess with C:\ and
i never mess with T & U data.
untill now that is!
