Hi folks,
A friend of mine recommended this forum as a gathering of knowledgeable people where I could expect a better answer to problems then "you can't fix it" or "give it to a shop", which answers were a popular choice on other forums to problems which I solved by replacing the thermal paste.
Anyways, let me describe my situation.
I've got myself an early version of Xbox360, from the ones which did not even have an HDMI outlet on the back. Needless to say it began having some problems. At this point in time I don't really have the option of buying a new one, as all my resources need to be put into expanding my PC based hardware.
So I'm wandering if there is still some way I can try to revive my xbox.
What Happened so Far?
I had an problem with the screen freezing at random times. I managed to counter it with the "penny trick" where I've put taped copper coins on the RAM modules of the motherboard.
It solved the problem, my screen never froze again.
But there Was More...
I've had later on problems with 3 RRoD. So I've replaced the thermal paste on the GPU and CPU, worked fine. Another 2 months or so we've played together.
But It was not meant to Last...
And here we're approaching my current problem, which on which I've ran out of ideas.
I've been playing Fallout3:NV and my screen turned Red and matrix like codes started appearing on it, the following link show the exact replica

As I've found out it basically means that the GPU is giving in and kicking the bucket. Shortly after on reboot I've been welcomed with an E73 screen. Quick overheat reset and the problem was gone.
For 2 days. After that another red matrix like screen and after that E73. This time overheating did not help, replacing the thermal paste again created no results. I've come across a video where a guy was just pushing in the GPU or CPU harder in to fix the E73 screen but that did not help my cause. Neither did pulling in and out the AV cable. May I also note, that I've got 2 of those, so a failure of the cable is rather out of the question.
...help?
Please, help me revive my xbox. I know she's old and been thru a lot, but I know she still want's more out of life.

This question is more for our xbox 360 site rather than our Xbox 1 site try 360-hq.com - use your same username and password to get on and repost there and i am sure you will get some feed back.
