Sorry bro but it wont work since all the drives that can read an xbox game dont have burners, best bet is to usw QWIX and do the copy and burn via FTP. Wink

Hey thank you for your help. Sorry this seems to be posted in the wrong part of your forums. My motivation is that i am already going to build a xbmc network and the depressing number of xboxs in every pawn shop i went into has got me thinking about xbox servers just for shits and giggles. I especially liked the tute about converting into a debug/development box. Im ex military electronics, mechanic by trade, and apperently very eager to make development my next learning experience. My real dream project right now is an xbmc network based smart house. My house is small so it would be a good platform. And with an unlimited number of cheap glory boxes i could build a zone system network with CPUs dedicated one or two main functions for fast responses to stimuli. Im thinking kinda like einstein doing grade school math. Actually boring. The kicker of all this perhaps is that i dont own a pc. Ex wife got it just to piss me off. I have several lap tops that cant even burn an audio cd that i am happy with. Let alone backing up very important program files and such and of course everything else i can back up. I really dont want a pc but dont mind building a space station out of xboxs. So i after all the BS, my question is, how about a two box system like the one I believe I can build for xbmc with one running xbox and one running linux? I get that I would be FTPing between the two. Seems like I would just need dvdr drivers for linux on my linux box to do what I'm thinking. However I am a Dirty Ole Newby For Life! And I only know enough to hurt myself and maybe all of mankind. But no really, my knowledge only scratches the surface. I appreciate any knowledge being kicked into my head. Thanks Again for your reply!

I have never seen an xbox run a disk burner but if DSL can run one it would be worth a shot.

If you get this to work you should make a guide on it.
