Would you recommend this method over XboxHDM and Chimp/telnet?

Hi - I wonder if Wes or any other of the pro's can help me out yet again. I was up till 5am last night and 3am the previous morning trying to upgrade my HDD in a soft modded box with a modded box.
1. Using AID4.30, install softmod with EvoX /Dual booted with SID menu
2. Using both Configmagic AND backup from EvoX menu, backup EEPROM
Where exactly is the EEPROM getting backup to with both apps?
3. FTP entire C and E drive to PC
4. Install new HDD in chipped box and run AID4.30, format HDD, install EvoX and Config magic
5. Delete the contents of DATA folder withing E:\APPS\CONFIGMAGIC
6. FTP back over the C and E drives from the softmodded box to their original locations
THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY TO COPY BOTH THE C AND E DRIVES TO THE DATA FOLDER !!!! IS THIS CORRECT?
THIS IS THE PART WHERE I GET STUCK
7. Still on the modded box with large drive, run Configmagic from E:\APPS\CONFIGMAGIC and select LOAD EEPROM FROM .BIN FILE
AT THIS POINT ALL THE SETTINGS ARE ZERO's IN WHICH I HALT AT THIS POINT AT MY OWN DISCRETION AS I DONT WANT TO TRASH MY brand new drive and Xbox.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
I am very close to going out and buying another Xecuter chip.

Good to see you got it going man.
You should make your own guide and submit it so others can see how to do it the way you did.
