I'm in a bit of a panic right now and here's why: I loaded 122 backups of my games to my box and I've been playing them for weeks now. Today I boot up and there are no games that come up in my games list. I've rebooted several times and I've looked on the drive using the file manager and the games folder is comletely empty. I just FTP'd to my box and there are no games listed via FlashFXP either. The HDD free space is exactly where it was though (I had 200 GIG remaining from a 500 GIG drive.)

It's like someone sneaked in and stole them and replaced them with 300 GIG of nothing.

Any thoughts to this mystery??.. it would be much appreciated...

I used pX HDD loader to back them up which I sintalled using AID 4.10, I'm using Avalaunch V.49.03, Xecuter 3 with bios 3.453 or something like that. UGHHH!!

When you set up the HDD did you use 32k clusters?

If not then i wold say corruption got you and you will need to set the HDD up from scratch with xboxHDM.

Good question, I don't know if I used 32k clusters, I used the utility from the bios to set up the hard drive. In fact, when it set up the hard drive it only took like 2 seconds for the entire 500 GIG drive, so maybe that's where my problem started. I will look into getting the xboxHDM. Do I run this from a CD-R in the xbox to format the drive? I'll search for info on it in the meantime, I'm sure I'll find something.

If it was a corruption problem though, wouldn't it affect the rest of my hard drive? The roms for my emulators are all still there and working.

Thank you!!

I"ll check when I get home, but isn't there a utility on the AID 4.10 that can help me format the HDD, or is xboxHDM the only way to go?

Thanks again...!

I see there's a new AID 4.20, so maybe I'll use that instead, looks great!

OK, I booted to AID 4.10, reformatted the entire drive, then installed xselect + XBMC. things seem to be fine, I have 500 gigs recognized and I've installed a bunch of Apps also. Should I have used xboxHMD? Once I install all my backups am I going to run into the same corruption problem again?

Also, I read about xboxHDM and the tutorial indicated it was for softmodded xbox's, and mine is harmodded (Xecuter3). Does this change what I should be doing?

Any comments are appreciated! XBOX ROX!

Sorry this took so long but i was having one of them days yesterday, your HDD will currupt again unless you use xbox partitioner to set the F drive to 32k clusters like this guide shows.
