i somehow deleted a partition using explorer 360. everything was going fine and then gone. i'm missing partition 4, how do i create a create another one.

You would need to use xboxhdm to reformat the whole drive and install the ms dash back onto the C:\ drive (softmod method). If you have a chip you can use aid to reformat the drive. _________________

when use that do i access it the same way and does it come pre loaded with the files? meaning as in the same way that i would use explorer 360. and thanks for the reply, sitting here falling asleep waiting for someone to reisipond this late at nite. and wouldn't the eeprom be in the 4th partition, if so, what do i do if i don't have a copy of it.

If your running a chip you can just pop in aid and rebuild the system.

i was running a softmod but obvisiously its not now. so doesn't sound like that tut is going to do me much good, but thanks for the response. still trying to get this to work. tried explorer 360, can see part 0,1,2,3,?, but no 4, so i am without a partition and don't know how get around that. tried xboxhdm 1.9 and managed to get most of a MS dashboard back on the c drive but i can't get it to read dvd's, burnt or original games. but it will read cd's. go figure, but i will keep pluggin away at it til i get it. thanks for your responses, every little bit of knowledge is a blessing.

yeah, the more that i research i am thinking that its going to be my only choice left to me. now i have to decide which one will be the easiest for me to mess with, and what it actually does.

You can mod chip it (easier) or do the eeprom reader as suggested as before. _________________

what chip do u suggest? i'm not real up on the latest, greatest chips. not even sure whats a good price or a bad price. any suggestions will be appreciated. thanks for everyone's responses, and a great nite!

( out of ten here will say the Xecuter3 ce chip and it runs around 60 to 70 bucks, but if you want one that can do it all but with out all the little addons you can try the Xecuter2 ce lite.
Both are damn good chips.
