I have a xbox 1.0 with a white duox2 cromwell chip with unleashx dash. I bought a new dvd-rom a Modified LG DVD Drive 8164 that worked well for about a month then it stopped reading all media so i put back in my thompson dvd-rom and that worked well for about a month and now that stopped reading all media too. Keeps saying tray is empty.
Any Ideas on what is going on?

Swap out the ide and make sure the connections are tight, if that dint help you will need a new disk tray.
Or you may just need to clear the E/cache folder.

I checked IDE and that was fine,i tried putting back in my LG dvd-rom and it played XBOX games and cd-r and dvd movies but no copied games or copied dvds.Also i didn't have a e\ cache for some reason.
Weird isn't it? I can't figure this one out.

If your trying to run back up games the disk may not be readable by the drive. Try a different brand of dvd-r's, because thats the problem most of the time. _________________
