Alright so, I can honestly say I have spent weeks trying to find the information on the internet and, it just doesn't exist, or doesn't pertain to me. I'll start off by explaining my situation. I have a v1.1 XBox with a Phillips tray. I have already done the softmod with xbox hdm and ndure and all that jazz with hot swapping. The xbox boots up into UnleashX. The system works fine, I can play emulators. Cool.
My goal: I wan't the better dashboards, the ability to play movies and whatnot through my xbox. EvoX, Ava, XBMC, any of that jazz. I am not computer or electronically illiterate however I am newer to Xbox modding, but fortunetly understand it, so I think.
Anyways, I have spent while trying to either A, find a proper download spot for any dashboard. I finally found a bit of information on some website about using AID 4.3 to upgrade from an already modded UnleashX machine. I followed the instructions for making the ISO to a T, and tried it on both DVD-R and DVD+R. Multiple tiems on each media, at different speeds, always verifying the written data. I've used Nero 9, DVD Decryptor, everything I've been told to do but, none of the DVD's work. They will sit at the XBOX loading screen, but eventually just load into my UnleaseX dash, which says the drive is empty.
My DVD drive works fine for running any games and whatnot, so I doubt the drive to be faulty. Regardless I've just been so much time browsing forum, after forum, after forum, only to read useless responses to questions similar to mine. There are never any straight, helpful answers.
Thanks to anyone who actually read through this post. I'm more than happy to post any information that can be helpful to solving my problem. I just want a sexy xbox without using a chip!
Thanks in advance!

If you have the space on your hard drive just extract the AID ISO to folder form and install by FTP to your APPs folder and launch it from there.

Do you happen to have a link to a properly working copy? I'm unable to extract it via winrar (damaged/corrupt) and it comes up as an empty disc through windows. I'll keep looking for one myself, but if anyone already has a link ready that would be fantastic.
