can somebody please describe how to update from 3.10 to 4.12

welcome to the HQ Paradise, hope you find all you need here at the HQ.
Your best bet is to get AID 4.10 then use the addon updater to add the 4.12 addons.

If the apps or dashes your running are old builds you wold just delete the old one on the xbox and use aid to reinstall it.
Its not like a firmware update or anything its just a pile of apps and tools for the xbox so if your running fine you realy dont need to update anything.
If you use XBMC i wold say thats worth updateing.
