The game in question is Counter Strike and it won't run on my xbox anymore and I don't understand what the problem is. The disc works on the softmodded xbox with the original HDD but when I install a bigger hard drive I run into a problem, a crash at start up. Anyway the process for modding the xbox is using Kingroach's Ndure and a hotswap, not the SID. That puts Xunleashed on the system and after that I use xboxhdmaker to copy the modded original HDD to the new upgraded hard drive.
I've noticed this game compatibility issue in multiple games and I think it has something to do with Xbox live because all problematic games had Xbox live, yet not all games with Xbox live suffer the same problem.
PS, After I mod the original HDD and copy it to the second HDD, I have to hotswap the second hard drive again because it doesn't want to boot directly to the custom dashboard.
Have you tried deleting the contents of the `E` partition `cache` folder ?
If you have `x` `y` & `z` folders delete everything in them also. _________________

Problem solved, thank you very much. That issue has caused me to actually switch between the old and upgraded HDDes to get my counterstrike on for almost half of a year now. Big thanks man.

Good call user1 the old cache clear works again.
ihopeyoudie2 good to see the site has helped you out with an on going prob, ejoy all the HQ sites and spread the word man.
Yeah clear the old cache...thats the ticket. I just hope he doesnt need or want any of those game saves that are in there. I cleared my cache and it seemed to work for a little bit and then when I went to play a game and call up my save game file my face was like this when I saw the results. So in the future we might want to tell them that before they do it. Just my humble opinion of course _________________

Your saves should be fine you clear out the E/cache folder and your game saves are in the T and U data folders.
