It's been months later and this problem still haunts me.
Before I just stayed with my original build (old old old), but I still want to upgrade to the latest and greatest. I would have thought this issue would have been solved long ago.
I realized that my weather doesn't work on my XBMC and I have no clue why. I vaguely touching on a few posts, where it was said that a particular build of the XBMC has a bad weather plug-in. . . most likely the one I am using.
To date, I believe my issue lies with the video mode, but still unsure. I have noticed that when I do attempt to start XBMC, the logo comes on and then the screen is blank. I can reset off the controller, so the program is still operational.
One would say it is the skin or the video mode. I would like to hear thoughts and comments from you others.
I do have the Project Mayhem III skin and I have also tinkered with changing the video modes - 480p 720p 1080i widescreen letterbox normal . . . all of which are of no avail.
Any one have any suggestions? _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

A new XBMC build is out, remove any XBMC folders you might have in all drives and install the new build to your root E.
Then all you need to do is point out the location to the XBMC xbe file to your X3CP.

Oh I know, I am very excited to try the Beta 1 aka Atlantis update.
I've erased all instances of previous XBMC versions. . .
- I've deleted 0face008 folders on TDATA and UDATA
- I've deleted all XBMC saved game files both through the MS dashboard and also the Unleash dashboard
- I've installed the new XBMC both while the xbox was on the main BIOS screen and also the Unleash dashboard
Just cannot figure out the issue.
Is there any other troubleshooting steps that could be taken? _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

Disable the IGR setting in your main dash and make sure you have the pm3 skin in your skins folder then do the dash reset by launching xbmc with both thumb sticks held in.

Does IGR exist on an X3 chip? If so where can I find this option on the BIOS screen?
I have XSelect on my xbox, with XBMC (E:/apps/) as the default dash to load. The only REAL dash I have installed is UnleashX and I cannot locate an IGR setting on this dashboard. . . . so now what?
I checked to see, the latest t3ch build does have the 'Project Mayhem III' build.
I did hold the thumbsticks on when trying to load the new XBMC and saw the red text confirming if I wanted to delete my USERDATA folder. I went ahead and accepted deletion.
Is there a config file for the XBMC ? Perhaps if I load the latest t3ch build and then overwrite with my current working config file, it may work? _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

In your X3CL go to Customize X3 BIOS and check your Dashboard Boot Priority to make sure the XBMC tag matches the one in the XBMC folder and that there is no other matching XBE file in your E or F drive any ware then check Dashboard Boot Drive and set it to the F drive.
Now install the T3CH build in the F drive (just the XBMC folder and not all the other stuff that comes in the zip file.
With the new builds i have noticed that they are naming the XBE default now and not XBMC.xbe so be sure to change that if need be.
The list of folders in the XBMC folder should read as follows here:
* credits
* language
* media
* plugins
* screensavers
* scripts
* skin
* sounds
* system
* UserData
* visualisations
* web
* default.xbe or xbmc.xbe
All folders will have something in them.
If you do all this and still get nothing FTP in to your F drive and take a screen shot and post it here so i can look it over.
