I have downloaded bitcomet so that I can download the aid disk. The one thing I wanted to check was the security settings for bitcomet. It says that I may need to disable my firewall to let some information through but doesn't that allow other private users to access my computer?
I am going to download the aid disk now ut want to make sre I am going about it the right way before I start.

I'd defenitly try to do it with your firewall up first because it does make it extremely easy for people to get in your PC and wreak havoc. I use utorrent and I've never had to disable my firewall. _________________

Glad it worked for you. Hey atleast you don't have to dl it at 3.5kbps like I did that straight sucked took me over two weeks to get AID. _________________

how do i do this without mucking up the download?

when you DL the torrent you also as a by product upload it to other people that are doin the same thing you are don't worry this is normal and it doesn't slow anything down since it opperates from a different port. _________________

badg3rhunter you can turn off the uplode in your settings but by doing that you will slow down your download speed.

WOW i had my softmod xbox unpluged for 4 1/2 days now to see if i could get an error 16 and had no luck at it.
Pluged it in fire it up and all is good, i wold love to know why this hits some xboxs and not others.

have just been leaving my comp to get on with the download but have come back to find that it stopped half way through. I am using bitcomet, tried to start it up again but nothing! It says at the bottom of the screen not logged in. thn abit further along it says 'DHTconnected node 413' and then further along again it has a yellow dot then says 'blocked:83.32.4.124
Does this mean that the server I was downloading from has blocked me out? How do I continue the download?
please don't tell me i have to start again!!

By the look of it it is something to do with the other server being behind an intranet which has blocked me? how can I get it back up and running?

Ok you dont need to be loged in to use it i never log in.
As for the yellow dot its juust to speed thing up, it dont matter but if you want it to work you need to forwerd the port its talking about.
The upnp is for a router, dont need it but again if you want it to work turn on upnp in your routers settings.
