I got the top off and the dvd drive, but I actually don't see any weird chip that looks out of place. I'm guessing then it's a soft mod after all. Does this mean I can get my games back with a cdrw. I've seen other guys posts talking about falshing the hard drive or something crazy. Please help me.

What you want to try is download auto installer deluxe from a bittorent and burn the iso file from it to disc and see if your xbox will launch that.
If it can you can use it to fix your xbox.

That is the name of the program I need to find? After I find it, I just burn it tan a cdrw and try to run it in my XBOX? What program is best for creating ISO images?

Come on man don't insult me. I know how to scroll down. I found the auto installer and I have the option of downloading it as a torrent, zip, or direct (bitlet). It's v3.1. Is that good?

Ahh, the first time, that is not what came up. Yes I now see a picture. Ok now I know that I don't have a mod chip. If it looks like that red chip with the "X", then no I don't have one.

cd rw is the best since its a small file but if it wont read that use dvd-r .
