I have been given an XBOX that the HDD had stopped working.
The unit has been fitted with an "ALLADDIN" mod chip of some sort and had previously been upgraded with an 80GB drive.
I have purchased a new 80GB WD800JB drive.
Is it possible to reload the settings to get this drive to work?

Sure man you can do that hit the link below and get autoe installer deluxe 4.01 and burn the iso file in it to a cd rw or a dvd r.
After you have aid hook up the hdd slap in the disc, format the drive, and do a larg hdd install.
Install the dash you want from the disk and any apps.
Its that ez.

This is my first experience with an xbox, although i have installed mod chips in a few other console types quite a while back now.
I will get the auto installer deluxe program tonight and let you know how it goes.

The aid disc might take a little time to download but its worth it.

Good deal man, make sure you keep a copy of that disc around and thare aint much you cant fix.
