I've checked and rechecked all my settings...FTP is on...i've also tried to FTP from XBMC with the same results username and password are correct also...btw...the username and password go through fine when i try to FTP with cuteFTP but then it just idles for a couple mins then the connection drops and gives me that message i posted earlier...OH! almost forgot...my brothers xbox is also softmodded i tried to FTP with his xbox and it too didnt work. he didnt have much on it so i removed and reinstalled the softmod and it still didnt work. nothing on my computer has changed since the last time i FTP'd my xbox. and also i couldnt ftp from a diffrent computer in the house.

Ok this is what i need right now cuz something is getting overlooked and i dont know what it is, Just hook the xbox right to the pc with an X-over cable.
No routers no networks no internet just hook them up do the static ip setup.
Then see if you can even ping the xbox.

At this point it wold allmost be the one thing not tryed.
So thats why i say just put the pc and xbox together and if you cant ftp that way you never will.

yeah just bypass the router just to make sure that ur even able to FTP...if u can get it working without the router then u know u got a problem with the router ip settings...at least you'll be able to FtP haha _________________

I have had multiple sources say to put your xbox on DHCP, as in not static... Its what I have used to get a connection to my computer.

Check the 12th post on the first page of this thred she said that she gets the same prob with dhcp as she dose with static.
