I've never had any problems in the past and i dont think any settings have been changed. My xbox is set on static ip...username: xbox , password: xbox , I've tried to ftp from "My Networks" and also cuteFTP and get the same results...please help me out this really sucks.

No you was clear i just aint awake
You said you use dhcp and some times the ip can change on dhcp so dub check your ipfirst.
I dont use cute so im not sure if it has a passive mode or not but make sure its off.
Check to make sure its useing port 21 and try setting the xbox to a static ip to see if you can get in that way.
thanks for the help i will try this later on and update.

what router are you using.
you may want to try to set your xbox to DCHP so that it can give the ip auto, and it will stay the same as long as you use it. its alot easier and it may work.

Its been a while since I have used Evox...isn't there settings in the setup for FTP - like on or off? Maybe your brother was playing with the settings. Do you have XBMC or DVD2XBOX installed? You could load up one of those and then try FTPing. The problem may be in your dash, loading up another app might be a good test. _________________ My Setup:
