That's the problem...I do not have an active dashboard, to input my IP address...I need to be able to boot the AID DVD and FTP to the box, to retreive my files...after that I will be fine...when you boot the AID DVD it shows an IP of 192.168.0.2...when I need a different IP...where would I change it on the DVD to match my network..I changed it in the evox.ini file in the image of the DVD, but stll no go

I'm pretty sure you'd have to change it in the config for AID not just evox, but why do you need to change it you should still be able to connect to it without changing the IP. _________________

I can not connect to my xbox as it is on a different subnet mask than my network...it boots off the AID DVD to 192.168.0.2 as the IP, when I need it to be 192.168.2.103...how do I change the IP in the AID DVD to boot up as reflect the IP that I want...the xbox will not boot in to a dashboard...I want the AID DVD to boot to an IP that is is my subnet...so I can FTP my files to my PC...and then rebuild the xbox to work correctly

Try this go in the aid disc to your file manager and hit the white button.
The last thing in the list will be switch to ftp, from there you can hit start and select quick connect and ftp in to your pc.
Dose that help at all since i am un sure of how to change the ip on the aid disc with out useing a router and dhcp.

There is another config file in there that has to be changed the one for Evox I'm pretty sure is the config for the dash not AID. So look around in the files a lil more and you should come across it. _________________

For some reason I can't install the evox dashboard...so after removing all the dashboards... I installed the XBMC dash...and the xbox now boots up...I was able to ftp to my box and get my files...Now I want to install a fresh install of everything and put my files back...which procedure compeltely wipes out all partitions and installs a fresh copy of Evox...I see the other dashboards and have never used...which would be the best, and which ones can you use trainers with...I will go with another dash, what funtionality would I gain...

The 2 i know that run trainers for sure are evox and xbmc and with xbmc you gaine a lot of small add ons like the scripts and the smb share is nice.
Your best beat wold be to try just running the sid softmod install and it should over wright whats on there now.

What would I do to get a fresh install of Evox...that is what I want...everytime I try to access the Evox dashboard...the Xbox reboots and is in a constant loop...this was the probelm to start with, before I was able to save my files...I have a Xenium modchip soldered in with a 320GB drive...what would be the best way to get this dashboard to work with rebooting over and over and over again

If you want just the evox you can get that from xbins or eurasia and try it.
If you want to wipe the hdd and try a compleat rebuild get aid 4.10 and format the hdd and do a one click install.

The MSdash is on the aid disc under the dash section, or that to can be found at eurasia.
