Ok so i was just farting around on my xbox and i came across this thing that said install uddae(im pretty sure those where the letters)anyways i clicked on it stupidly not knowing what it was and of course this is the one i dont look up on google like i did will all my others....anyways i shut it down and started it up again and now it goes to the xbox logo thing and microsoft pops up then the it goes to a black screen and then it flahes back to the logo thing and it keeps doin this its not booting up to a dash....if anyone could help that would be fantastic....

With the proper info, someone can help you. Be sure to include what kind of mod it is: Tsop Chip or softmod, What dash you are using, and exactly what it is your were doing. _________________

yeah well im using unleashx,softmod,and i had some stuff installed off the AID Lite....and i got somewhere in the menu where it said update undure install undure uninstall indure and some other stuff and there was one thing that said something install UDDAE....im not 100% on those letters though if its not that it was very close to thos letters....anyways i clicked install that and then a screen came up that had the microsoft logo on it(after it went through the process of installing it) and microsoft words on the bottom of the screen and it said xbox dashboard.....you know like when you click on an app to load it and so i gave it a few minutes and nothing happend so i shut it off and went to go re-boot it and thats when the logo screen came up the microsoft word came up in white at the bottom of the screen(like it should)and then there is a very very quick flash of the background to the original m$ dash and then it goes to a black screen and then it goes back to the logo screen and if you give it a second the microsoft words comes up at the bottom and then it will do the same thing....over and over....and it never loads the dashboard....i have tried puttin the AID Lite disk in and shutting it off and turning back on but it does the same thing.....so i dont know.....i have also tried to hook it up to my comp(hot swap)and run xbhdm and i tried to go through the process of everything again and at one part it says it cannot find a hard drive on the primary master and idk why....i know im doin the hotswap part right.....ohh i just membered i backed up my eeprom right before i installed that thing....idk if that would help....so i hope that is enough information....i would honestly rather just put my 40GB hdd in it but well there is another topic bout me not gettin that figured out....but if i could my original back up that would be a great start.....

Then you're gonna have to create a new hdd with xboxhdm cause I have no idea what you did, and from the sound of it neither do you. Tutorial--> http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-153.html Since you have AID, use the M$ dash from that as your c drive and you can resoftmod when you're done. _________________

ok....where do the m$ dash files need to be?...and ive done this tut before and it didnt work but i take it thats because i didnt m$dash on the disk....anyways it didnt work the first time....also does the hdd have to be locked to work....im never goin to get on xbox live....

ok so all i have to do is put the eeprom.bin file in the linux/eeprom.....and then put the dash files in the C drive folder...should that cover it all?
EDIT:ok so i was just look around at a tut and they pointed something out about the size of the folder to make sure it will fit on the CD and well....my xboxhdm folder is like over 800MB im not sure if that matters or if its just the ISO file of linux that matters.....
