Hi I just brought a xbox from a person and the man tryed to mod the hard drive and he lock it. He said he can't unlock the drive how can I unlock the drive? the systems works the way it is but I like to learn how to unlock the drive so I can put a bigger drive in it. Oh forgot he put Evolution x on the drive and dont know anything else about the mod attempt.

Did he lock it to the xbox's eeprom? Cause it is supposed to be locked.

If its only the hard drive then you will need to pay for a program that can unlock a hard drive even if you dont have the eeprom. If you have the xbox then it should unlock by itself.

The drive is lock cant unlock it. I try to unlock it under the system conf. when I tell it to unlock the drive stays locked

What program do I need? So I dont loss the info on the drive. I need to put some programs on the drive so I can copy disks and watch dvd they was there when I got it. Now not showing up under launch applications

It wont go on to xbox live and wont launch any applications tring to fix or is it better to just put a nother driver in it . How do I do that without the eeprom from the board to make the drive work
