Is there a program that will allow you to read an xbox hard drive in windows? I had one that I could use to read mem cards but I cant remember what it was.

I actually found the program I needed. Xplorer360. I used it to retrieve the eprom.bin off a drive that I thought was dead and was able to fix another xbox
