Okay, dumbass move of the year and I hope that you can help me. I was screwing around with Enigmah region settings and accidentally used the PAL setting and now my screen is just flipping up and around and I can't get it back to NTSC setting.
Dumbass move #2, I took my E drive backup and FTP'd it over hoping that it would overwrite the PAL to NTSC but no joy.
Any suggestions on what I should do?

Trust me, I beat you today. I lost all my backed up movies and games on the HDD, including roms. So I shot about 80 gigs into dust. Moving on... What happens when you try to play games from a DVD, flipping probably, but how about stuff off the HDD? Still flip? I need more info I think because the difference between your mod and mine is the quickboot for me gives me the chips menu where I can quickly fix that. I would try if it comes down to it, keeping your xbox unplugged for a good 6-7 hours, letting the clock reset and that may let it reset the settings too. Not so sure, but it's worth a shot.
(PS, how I screwed my xbox up was I took the immediate opportunity to turn it off, and I didn't let it finish apparently, so during that emergency shut off I started, power to the xbox went out. Left with a fried powerstrip now. So take your time!)

I'll try leaving it unplugged for the night and see where it takes me, but I don't know if that will do anything, but worth a shot for sure. I have XBMC for a dash. I'm trying to get it to work, but I can't get enough information when the screen is flipping around like that. Dooooh! Stupid, stupid, stupid. I need a PAL television so I can see what I'm doing.
Retail DVD, flips, running off HDD, flips. WTF!
although when i boot into MS dash it flips, but then comes up ERROR 05 blah, blah, blah since I didn't lock my HDD and that screen is fine and steady.
tried swapping in my retail HDD to see if that would change anything, but nothing, still flips, so I don't know where to go from here.

Looks like I have to find Enigmah video switcher disk and boot it blind.

Hey Flaw. Yeah, I tried that but here's what I did...you'll love it.
I FTP'd my EVOX dash back onto my system. But before I did that I FTP'd the NTSC-PAL switcher files to my apps folder in EVOX. I know this dash quite well, so I semi blindly went to the apps section of the dashboard and then pulled out my trusty video camera and took about 10secs of video. Loaded Pinnacle STudio and then slow motioned it so I could tell which app on the list to chose. The video switcher came up, I pressed B for NTSC and viola, we now are back to reloaded my AID4.0 back on with XBMC dashboard.
Now I have to FTP back and clean up my E: drive a little.
