Hi all,
I've finally got a brand new xbox and looking at soft modding it - i have looked at the tutorials, but am still lost, and would be grateful if anyone could offer any help.
Many of the tutorials mention about using the action replay or game shark codes to do the softmod. I've actually got a Max Drive so would I use the AR saves to do the hack or not.
Also which is the absolute best and easiest for a complete novice to use, should i use sid4.5 or the auto-installer deluxe

imma just clear everything up for you.
You use SID 4.5 to install the softmod with game save exploits wich run a linux os for you to backup important files and install the softmod wich takes about 10min.
AID 3.1 would be what u use afterwards to install a different dashboard, applications, emulators, and things of this sort with the press of a button.
So, get SID and u will need one of the fallowing games: Splinter Cell(non patinum), 007 AUF(non platinum), or Mechassault(non platinum). You then need to copy the game save exploit for wich ever game u have/want to use, along with the NK Launcher file. Copy both fils to the xbox hdd, then boot the game fallowed by loading the "Run Linux" game save under the campaign mode.
At first didn't think could copy to xbox as was seeing everything but just showed delete. didn't realise had to select a save as well
What do you mean by "selecting a save" because I'm having that exact problem, where all it is showing is delete. I can't seem to get past this point, any help would be nice. _________________ ~col.drew~

you need to choose the save you wish to copy and it will then work
