I have 2 usb ports built into my pc case that my xbox is in. Just an 1hr ago i decided to make them usable... so since i had to make the controller port wires longer i just tapped in and connected USB port 1 to xbox port 3. i connected black-black, green-green, yellow-white, and red-red. i got mouse test off AID3.10. and nothin? its a Logitec optical mouse, and its got power? would a jump drive show up?? ill try.. any advice is greatly apprecaited..
Update: I have a mp3 Player that has a removable disk, so i turned it on and plugged it in. XBMC says cannot mount removable drive on port 2. also the usb ports are built on a mini motherboard and the one i thought was port one i found out is was port 2 by the above message from XBMC. but how do i use a mouse and keyboard? _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:

The yellow wire in your Xbox is not used for this. There should be 5 wires in your xbox and only 4 for the usb port. Red, white black and green are all you should use.

i didnt use the xbox yellow, i connected the usb port yellow to the xbox white.. also what kind of mice do you guys use.. ill try to boot up X-dsl and try different mice that i have.. _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:

I have never done this mod lol. But I did put a usb plug on an Xbox controller for my pc.

OK, so what your saying is the USB has Black, Red, Green, and Yellow(instead of White)??
If so, then the way you have it hooked up sounds right as long as your using the XBOX controller port wire Red, Black, White, and Green!!!

no you ues the volt meter cus it has a resistens checker thing and you use it to trace the wires or at least my meter has one and it buzzes if it has no resistens so you know it gose strate thru one usb i had the green was pasitev white was negetiv the person who made it must of ben retarded or somthing but i had to trace and mark the wirers to get it to work _________________ <a href="http://www.us.playstation.com/PSN/Users/BUD_TOKER_13"><img src="http://pid.us.playstation.com/user/BUD_TOKER_13.jpg" width="235" height="149" border="0" /></a>
