Posted: Wed Jan 03, 2007 4:52 am Post subject: xbox is very slow and it says hard drive has no free space
i bought this xbox used from a video game store. it worked ok for a few minutes but then it started acting weird. when i turn on the xbox without a game in the drive it takes a while to load up to the dashboad and when it finally get there. its really slow.... i mean slow. so it takes some time for me to get to the memory part. so when i go to chack the memory it tells me that there are no free blocks on it and when i try to chack whats on it it says 0. i tried putting a game on there. it does it regular stuff when a game is inserted. it goes to the xbox screen for about 30 secons and then it comes up to the dashboard and tell me my xbox need service. i did not try to softmod it or anything so why is it acting this weird and what can i do about it.

that is the most weirdest problem i have ever heard of lol my opinion would be is to take it back to the store and get another one thats all i know to do man or if could have been softmodded before you bought it and the hacked dashboard could be the retail dashboard and there is programs in it that the retail dash cant find or open and just takes up space i heard you can have a softmod with the retail dash installed
