I recently ordered/posted about a decal that I had installed on my box. Well, I would have to say I do not recommend that dealer.
My xbox decal is slowly removing itself & my controller decal was a joke. Despite an email from Decalgirl.com stating the controller decals where cut incorrectly that week & that they would send a replacement, I returned the decal for their own benefit.
Even though it takes 2-3 emails to get a response, now come to find out, the decal was conveniently lost in the mail & they are not sending another.
Maybe it is just me, but if a dealer can not stick to its word and replace a decal that cost them about $.50 to produce, they are not worth dealing with.
Just my 2 cents.

I have never ordered from them but I have from designerskins.com and gameconsoleskins.com - both orders from the US arrived here in the netherlands within a week and the skin from gameconsoleskins was really amazing quality. I have to admit the controller skins are never that great...
As for Decal at least they did answer and are trying to rectify the situation, it would have been worse if they never answered or did not try to give you an explanation.

There sure seems to be a wide disparity in customer service for Xbox mods. I ordered a skin from gameconsoleskins.com and I agree they were quick. The quality of images weren't that great, but I think that was my fault... crap in--->crap out. The photos I sent probably weren't high enough resolution. No complaints really.
CustomPS2.com, however, is another story. I paid extra to get one of the early clear Xbox covers. Those dumb SOBs tossed it in a box padded with a few pieces of wadded up newspapers. Shocker! It got cracked in shipping. It took the 11 friggin' days to respond to my post to their customer support. Bottom line: I had to ship it back to them my cost (over $6). It's due to arrive back to them tomorrow, so I guess I've got over a week more to wait. I guess I paid extra to get mine a month later! I'll never buy anything else from them.
I ordered a light kit from CustomXbox.net. They forgot to include the power Y-adapter. When this was discovered, they quickly shipped me another. If they screw up, they fix their mistakes! I'll certainly order from them again. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

CustomXbox.net did not send me a Y-adapter either, but luckily realmccloy knew how to make it work.

I went down to the local computer store and they had one. When I emailed the guy at CustomXbox.net, he said the packer must have forgotten it. Understandable since it's not part of the original kit and must be picked separately. They probably need to rubberband the connector to the light kit box whenever they get in a shipment of the light kits.
But, like I said, I was pleased with the way they handled the problem. The Y connector they sent will work out better than the one I bought locally. It would be great inside a PC case... nice and long, but in an Xbox, it took up too much space to fit well.
Where did you place that monster black box? I disassembled mine and stuck it behind the DVD drive. _________________ The World's Most Awesome Xbox 360 Room

Yeah, that's where I jammed mine Xboxter.
Hey Jiggy, sorry to hear about your skin woes. I have purchased dozens of sking from them and never had any issues yet. Then again, I haven't bought anything for a few weeks. Ryan always emailed me back pretty quickly too.
Now, I ordered my firs skin ever from GameConsole Skins...it was the nastiest skin that I have ever seen. It looked nothing like the picture...now, I understand that skin images vary slightly from actual product, but man..this thing was hideous and looked NOTHING like the picture. They never returned one email that I sent about exchanging it for another. Eventually I gave up.
I have had decalgirl's skin on my machine now for about a month and a half...no peeling that I can see. I guess just like anything you buy out there shit can happen. And, you are correct that a company is only as good as their support.
That is why I always get my chips from BMmods. If you look up customer satisfaction in the dictionary it says www.bmmods.com!!
They guarantee shipping in one business day! They have a help desk system that is incredible. I had an issue once where they forgot to give me my little 3.00 solder kit (short piece of solder, braid, and some 30AWG wire). I got a response from the perldesk in less than five minutes and he overnight shipped me the kit plus a free gift. Now, I know what it costs to overnight something! That was incredible service!
I hope things eventually work out for you jiggy! I am probably going to be placing an order with decalgirl soon, so I'll let you guys know how it goes.
It's fortunate we have this avenue to inform each other on service...or the lack of. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

I ordered my white decal from Decalgirl and got it rather quickly using the cheapest shipment method. The decals are holding up rather well, with a few of the smaller ones coming off just a bit on the ends occasionally, but whipping out the hair dryer and heating them for a sec and pushing them back down works like a charm again.
Any decals I buy in the future will definitely be from Decalgirl.

One thing I never understood is why they are called decalgirl??
kinda works tho cos it made me look at thier site, i had a chrome skin on my xbox, from someone on ebay, it peeled off real quick, it is now removed, but my sister paid like £8 for one and I gotta say it's amazing, real thick, good image, never peels, I just wish i knew where she got it from (she can't remember).
I agree a company is only as good as it's support, i have had a real problem with some companies, that why when I setup my shop i decided I would do all that I reasonably could to support my customers.
is it just me or does decal girl have a lot of money to spend on advertising, every other banner on most xb sites is one of theirs, he he

The new decal was a different material, so maybe they made a switch recently to a more suitable vinyl. _________________ LED Rings $6 (doesnt include LEDs) LED ring pic

They are called Decal Girl because the owners name is Amanda
I just got a shipment from them and one of the skins was for my daughter. The Full Color skins are awesome as usual, but the Blossom colored Vinyl skin is pure poo!
Normall the Vinyl is very thick on the top and front pieces. The bottom and back pieces are usually much thinner.
I could not get these things to stick to her machine to save my life. They creased so badly. I still have a Jewel Green sticker skin here from about two months ago that I purchased from them and the quality is night and day.
I am unsure if it's a color thing or if they are trying to save a buck or two. I do know this. If the next few Vinyl skins I get from them are the same way I am dropping them from my cart. I'll keep selling the full color skins because I have purchased from several vendors and decalgirl's are far superior to anything that I have found.
As for the Vinyls, I just bought one on Ebay for .99 plus 8.00 shipping and it is four to five times thicker than what I just got from decalgirl.
Hopefully, this isn't going to be a trend.
later all
