Post subject: Adding 2 Games on 1 Disc : Using QwiX?

Ave,

I was wondering... if i have 2 XISO's, for 2 seperate games... totalling less then the 4.7 GB limit, can i add both the games on 1 DVD using something like QWIX ? If so, how?

I usually extract my game ISO in QWIX, and rebuild XISO using QWIX and burn the ISO using DVD Decrypter. That way all my games work. But some of the games i have now, are around 1.5 to 2 GB. I was wondering if i could combine games and put them on 1 DVD.

Thanks,
Mickey

Yep.... you can create multi game disks using Craxtion 4.

Very easy to do using the built in wizard....you can also import themes for the title and loading screens.

download it here http://www.craxtion.com/

You can also do it another way if you are using EvoX.

Create an entry in you evox.ini (under 'games') like: autoadditem 'd:\'

Next use Qwix to create an iso with 2 games by puting both folders into one. You simply specify the folder that has both games in it. Remember, you are only making ONE xiso.

Evox will now look on the disc in both folders for a default.xbe. you will find the entries in your games section.

I like this way better because you wont have to deal with the Craxtion loader. You may have to run an app or reboot in order for Evox to check the drive.

If you have any questions just repost

I have 2 'games' related sections in my evox.ini. One is for playing from the HD, so I'd use the one for playing from the disc. Here's what it looks like:

}
Line "-----------------------------",2
Item "Play Game / Media from DVD",ID_Launch_DVD
Line "-----------------------------",2

Would I insert the AutoAddItem before the last Line "-----"',2 ?

Thanks!

Another way to have multiple games/apps/emus on one dvd using EVOX is this:

1. Create a new folder (directory) on your PC
eg. c:\XBOX\games\

2. Copy as many games as you like to the games folder on your pc from your xbox hdd.. (basically just use dvd2xbox to get the games from the xbox dvdrom to the xbox hdd so they are unpacked and not in iso format).
eg. I have copied Halo and Doom from my xbox hdd to my pc like this:
PC-
c:\XBOX\games\Halo\
c:\XBOX\games\Halo\default.xbe
c:\XBOX\games\Halo\bik\
c:\XBOX\games\Halo\bik\intro.bik
etc etc

c:\XBOX\games\Doom\
c:\XBOX\games\Doom\default.xbe
c:\XBOX\games\Doom\level.wad
c:\XBOX\games\Doom\movies\
etc etc

3. Use QWIX or any other XISO tool like cxboxtool.xbox-hq.com to create a ISO of the whole GAMES folder.. Smile
eg. c:\XBOX\games\

4. It will create the iso and just burn it using DVDDECRYPTeR or NERO.. Whatever your favorites iso burning software is..

5. Open your evox.ini
6. Find this line (roughly)

Code:
AutoAddItem "e:\games\";

7. Copy this line of code to a new line and edit with this:
Code:
AutoAddItem "d:\games\";
(XBOX DVDROM)

8. Now your evox will look for games in the directo d:\games\ whenever it starts.. You can have as many games as you like on it and they will all show up just fine and work.

hope that helps guys,

After a few nights pacing, a few burned coasters and a few choice words... I finally got it! Your system works flawlessly! It just took me a bit to realize I had to embed the games folder inside another... er... just like you had it...DUH!!!
So, now I've got dirty hands and multigame discs that boot without fanfare. I hope you're happy! I am!! Heck, I even used the File Manager in AID to edit the UnleashX config so my IP addy wouldn't have a conflict anymore! Thanks SO much for all your help!!!

hi markus,

glad to be of service as always! Smile Its why i designed the site..
There are many ways to do what your talking about but that is really the simplest.. Well i found..

Most newer dashboards like UNLEASHX will probably scan the full disc anyway and show games in the /games/ folder too.
